You are able to give existing contacts access to the Booking Portal by creating a Booking Portal User on their contact details page. Your booking portal sites and groups will need to be configured before you can assign these to a contact. See Manage Booking Portals for more information.
Booking portal groups are not the same as your contact groups. These will not be listed on the contact groups tab on your Contacts.
To create a booking portal account:
- On the contact's details page, go to the Booking Portal tab
- Click Add Booking Portal User. The user is created.
- Click the edit pencil next to User Settings to open the Edit Booking Portal User slider.
- On each site the user should have access to book, select an active group.
Both active and inactive sites and groups are listed. Be sure to only select active ones!
- Click Save.
Some notes:
- The first time the contact logs in to the Booking Portal, they will be emailed a temporary password to verify they have access to the email account. Once they've entered the temporary password, they'll set up their password. Once they've gone through this process, their booking portal user will show as verified.
- If Account Creation is allowed on a Booking Portal, an existing contact can create a user without you following this process. If they add the same email and account (spelling must match) as is on their existing contact, their booking portal user will be added to their contact. If the email does not match, a new contact will be added to the existing account.
