You can apply taxes to service charges, rental rates, and items. We recommend adding taxes first, so that you can apply the appropriate taxes as you create service charges and add pricing to items.

Getting to Your Taxes
- Click your name in the upper-left corner.
- Click Inventory & Prices.
- Click Setup.
- Click Taxes.
Add Taxes
- Click the + add icon to open the Create Tax slider.
- Name the tax.
- Enter the tax rate.
- Optionally, you can select a GL Code. Clicking in the field will expand a list of available GL codes. You can begin typing the name of a GL account or its code to filter the list. For more information about GL codes, please see Manage GL Codes.
- Click Save.
- Repeat these steps as needed until all of your taxes have been created.
Edit Taxes
- Click the tax you want to edit to open its Edit Tax slider.
- Make any changes that are needed.
- Click Save.
Inactivate Taxes
- Click the tax you want to inactivate to open its Edit Tax slider.
- Toggle Active off.
- Click Save.
- By default, inactive taxes will not appear in the list. You can click the eye icon to toggle whether they are visibility shown or visibility_off hidden.
