You are able to translate your inventory departments, categories, and items into other languages. These translations do not display in Momentus Elite (your account language is used in-app). Instead, translations are used to generate event documents in those other languages. Contact our support team to create a document template in the target language. When you generate a document for a client, you can then select the template in their language.

Configuration
Before translating your inventory, you must enable the Alternate Languages feature and select the languages you need.
- Click on your name in the upper left corner and select System Admin to access the Admin console.
- In the left sidebar, click Settings and select the Configuration tab.
- Click the pencil icon.
- Toggle Enable Alternate Inventory Languages. The Alternate Languages field displays.
- In the Alternate Languages field, select all languages you want to translate your inventory into.
- Click Save.
Add and Edit Translations
To access the Translations tab, click your name in the upper-left corner, select Inventory & Prices, and go to the Translations tab. All inventory is listed alphabetically by Department, then Category, then Inventory Item. Each record displays chips that show its type (department, category, or inventory item) and location (the department the category belongs to, and the department and category the inventory item belongs to).
- Select the language you want to work on from the language selector.
- Select the records to translate. You can work thorough the list as-is, or:
- Filter by type to translate all departments, then all categories, and so on.
- Filter by Inventory Item and then search for a specific department or category to work on those records.
- Use the status filter to show records by status: Needs Translation, Needs Verification, or Modified.
- Add or edit the translations.
- Translations you enter manually are automatically marked as Verified. If you want someone else to review your translation, select Verified to toggle the item to Not Verified.
- You can also select records to use the bulk action bar to:
- Clear translations: Remove all translations on the selected records.
- Reset translations: Revert all translations on the selected records to the last saved translation.
- Click Save.
Use Auto-Translate
Auto-translate generates translation suggestions for your inventory items, which you then review and updated as needed. Auto-translate is powered by Localazy.
- Select the records to auto-translate. The bulk action bar displays at the bottom.
- In the bulk action bar, click Auto Translate. All fields on the selected records are translated.
- Review each translation and update as needed.
- Select Not Verified to mark the item as reviewed; it switches to Verified. You can also select multiple items and mark them as verified using the bulk action bar.
