When an event is booked, it must be assigned an event type. This allows you to report on events by type, as well as color your calendar by event type. Access to Exhibitor Ordering and Live Entertainment features are also based on event type.

Remove an Event Type
You are able to remove event types, but there are some things you should know before you proceed:
- Existing events with the removed event type will not be affected - they will retain the removed event type. If you edit any information in the General Information slider, you will need to choose a new event type, as the event type dropdown will not have a value.
- Events with the removed type will still be listed on the events list and calendar as long as there is no filtering by event type.
- In the same vein, events with the removed type will not be listed in reports which have a parameter by event type.
- Click the event type you wish to remove.
- On the slider, click Remove.
- Confirm you want to remove the event type.
