If you have an Event Outline format that you use over and over, you can create a template that allows you to easily apply that format to new outlines across events without starting from the beginning each time. For example, you could create a template for various event types such as different sporting event types, an orchestra event versus a musical, and so on.
The Operations Hub is available as an add-on for Elite Premier users.

Create a Template
To create an event outline template:
- Open an existing event outline in Edit mode, or create a new outline and begin to build your template.
- In the three dot menu in the outline header or the Templates tab in the right sidebar, select + Save as New Template. A modal opens.
- Name the template and add a description (optional).
- Click Save. Your template is listed in the Templates tab in the right sidebar.
Copy a Template
If you want to create a template that is similar to an existing one, you can duplicate the existing one and then update the copy as needed. To duplicate a template:
- In the Templates tab in the right sidebar, click the three dot menu by the template to duplicate and select Duplicate. A modal opens.
- Name the template and add a description (optional).
- Click Save. Your template is listed in the Templates tab.
Edit a Template
To edit an event outline template:
- From any event dashboard, click the arrow by Event Outlines to go to the Event Outlines page.
- Go to the Templates tab in the right sidebar.
- Click the three dot menu and select Edit. The template will open in the editor in template mode.
- Make any necessary changes. Your work will auto-save.
- When you are finished editing, click Exit template mode.
Use a Template
To use a template:
- Navigate to the event's Event Dashboard and click the arrow by Event Outlines. The Event Outlines page opens.
- In the left sidebar, click + Add New or select an existing outline. Templates can be added to existing outlines; they will be appended to the end any existing content in the outline.
- Go to the Templates tab in the right sidebar and click the template you want to use.
- In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes, apply template. The template content will be added to the event outline. Any content you had added to the outline will also be retained.
