The Operations Hub streamlines complex event operations from planning to execution. It enables seamless communication and oversight across planning and delivery of events by creating a direct path from the data entered for event planning to the operational workflows needed to carry out those plans.
The Operations Hub consists of:
- Event List: A list of definite events which match your filter criteria. Select an event to go to its dashboard.
- Event Dashboard: An overview of your event, including a Gantt chart providing a visual representation of the event’s functions.
- Event Outline: Build your event outlines (production notes, run sheets, event resumes, and so on) in Momentus Elite using a modern, block-based document editor. Accessed from the Event Dashboard.
- Jobs: Operational teams build, review, and complete the work they need to do for an event.
Operations Hub Permissions
All users can access the Operations Hub event list and event dashboard. Users will only see events they have permission to. Additional permissions are needed to access certain features:
- Event Outlines: Users must be given permission to view or edit event outlines.
- Jobs: Users must be given permission to view jobs, claim and work jobs, or create and edit jobs.
See User Role Permissions for detailed information.
Event Dashboard
On the Event Dashboard, you can view an overview of your event, including status, event type, account and contacts, estimated and actual event attendance, and a Gantt chart to provide a visual representation of the event’s functions. If you have permission, you'll also be able to view event outlines that have been created for the event. All users have access to the Event Dashboard.
For more about the Event List, see Event Dashboard.
Event Outline
Event Outlines allow you to build your event outlines (production notes, run sheets, event resumes, and so on) within Momentus Elite using a modern, block-based document editor. The editor gives you the ability to customize formatting and connect data on the event so you only need to maintain once source of truth: updates made on the event are synced to the outline. You can also save templates for outlines that you want to reuse, allowing you to efficiently build event outlines without starting from the beginning each time.
For more about Event Outlines, see Event Outlines and Event Outline Templates.
Jobs
Turn your event plans into action items and manage work distribution and completion with Jobs. Jobs allow you to turn the details that have been added to functions into actionable jobs for your team.
Jobs begin with basic details: name of the job (optional), due date/time, which team is responsible for the job, and event. If the job name contains sufficient detail, that can be the entire job! Most jobs, though, will require more details and those details are contained in a checklist. Checklist items are built from the items and instructions on functions; each item (including item note) and instruction on a function can be selected for addition to a job. Function documents can also be added as an attachment on a job, creating easy access to room diagrams and other documents.
Jobs has two facets:
- Jobs Management: Jobs Management involves creating jobs (including creating checklists and attaching documents), assigning jobs to specific organizational teams, and monitoring progress to ensure completion.
- Jobs Fulfillment: Users access Jobs for their team with a mobile-first interface design. They can claim jobs, check items off as complete, update the status, and even view relevant function documents (when included).
For more about Jobs, see:
Before you start using the Jobs in the Operations Hub, be sure to configure:
- Organizational Teams: Jobs are assigned to an organizational team, and then assigned to a specific user on that team. A job must have an organizational team assigned, so you must set those up before creating any jobs. See Manage Organizational Teams for instructions.
- Event Details (Items and Instructions): Job checklists are created from the items and instructions added to functions on the event. See Detail Your Events for more information.
