Effective November 1, 2026, changes to time zone and daylight saving time rules will take effect in several regions of Canada. These changes may affect how local dates and times are displayed across applications and devices.
These changes are being implemented by Canadian provincial and territorial governments and are not changes made by Momentus.
What This Means for Your Data
Momentus receives time zone information directly from the browser used to access the application. The application does not independently maintain or calculate local time zone rules.
No action is required within Momentus specifically for these changes. As long as your computer, operating system, and browser report the correct time zone, Momentus will use that information when displaying dates and times.
📌 Note: Operating system and browser vendors are responsible for updating their time zone data to reflect government-mandated changes. We recommend keeping your operating system and browser up to date to ensure they recognize the latest time zone rules.
If You See Incorrect Times
If dates or times appear incorrect in Momentus following November 1, 2026, we recommend checking the following:
- Operating system updates: Ensure your computer or device has installed the latest available updates.
- Time zone settings: Verify that your device is configured to use the correct local time zone.
- Automatic date and time: Confirm that automatic date, time, and time zone settings are enabled, where available.
- Browser updates: Make sure you are using an up-to-date version of your web browser.
If your device is reporting the correct date, time, and time zone but the issue persists within Momentus, please connect with your primary Momentus contact for further assistance.
